For Tickets:

We are a resident theatre company at The Den Theatre, 1331 N. Milwaukee in Chicago. For any ticketing questions, please call the Den box office at (773) 697-3830 or visit their website at http://thedentheatre.com/. We are a Pay-What-You-Can theatre company, which means that you can purchase any ticket to any of our shows for any price — this allows us to remove the financial barrier that the ticket price can be for so many folks who are otherwise unable to attend live theater.

For Playwrights:

Thanks for considering BNT as a potential home for your story. We have a small literary team, but we are working to keep the door open to as many voices as possible. In particular, we are seeking works that fit our mission and have not been produced to-date in Chicago. Please take a look at the following guidelines if you wish to submit your work.

For writers without representation: Rather than sending us writing samples, email us and introduce yourself. Feel free to include your resume, your website address, a link to your New Play Exchange profile, and the like. Before we request to read your work, we want to get to know you.

For writers with representation: We accept full-length plays if sent directly from the playwright’s agent or manager. Feel free to include a 1-page synopsis, though it is not required. (Unfortunately, lawyers do not qualify as appropriate representation in this regard.)

Please allow us three to six months of response time, and follow the guidelines as noted above to ensure that we can read your work in a timely fashion. We are currently not considering musicals. We look forward to seeing what you send it!
